Reclamation Planning and Education
Teach students studying natural resource sciences, members of the agriculture, energy, mining industries and the general public the practical application of conservation and reclamation principles. Educational opportunities range from workshops and conferences to working hand-in-hand with clients to develop and implement site-specific reclamation plans for their projects. At a minimum, clients will learn to:
- Determine the existing biological condition of the land
- Identify site-specific challenges to reclamation success
- Compile a reclamation plan to address those challenges
- Implement the plan and monitor success
- Practice the principles of adaptive management to address changing conditions
